Jason Bay to return Thursday

Jason Bay is set to return to the Mets lineup on Thursday.  The Mets will likely send down a pitcher in order to make room for Bay.  Bay has been on the disabled list since spring training and his bat has been sorely missed in the Mets lineup.

Bay’s return lets Willie Harris shift back into the fourth outfielder role which strengthens the bench that has looked weak at times.  If Bay can find a way to return to what he was before signing a four-year 66 million dollar deal with the Mets, he will be a formidable presence in the middle of the Mets lineup.  If Bay can find a way to get the ball out of the ballpark, the Mets lineup can be pretty fearsome for opposing pitchers.
